Axe Pictures is a creative film house since 2007, specializes in bringing diverse stories to the screen in often unusual perspectives, with branches in Morocco, Saudi Arabia and U.S.

Axe Pictures is a creative film house that was formed in 2007 in Casablanca, Morocco by mother and daughter filmmakers, Malika Frikouk and Hanaa Saleh Alfassi. Now with branches in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2009) and Los Angeles, California (2015) co-founded by Editor and Post Producer Shannon Emigh.

 

Axe specializes in bringing diverse stories to the screen in often unusual perspectives and has worked on a number of successful projects from short films like ID and Goal, which both aired on the renowned MBC TV channel, to documentaries like KSA in Their Eyes that aired on Aljazeera Documentary, and music videos like Resemblance by the famous Saudi singer Abdulrahman Mohammed that has close to 5 million views on YouTube.

 

Axe recently produced The Last Sohour, a short film that was officially selected in 15 festivals and counting, including the VGIK Festival in Russia, winning 2 awards and was also shown in The Short Film Corner at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Axe Pictures is currently in pre-production for another short film called Lollipop, which is partially funded by ENJAAZ at the Dubai Film Festival. A feature production is currently in development as well.
